This test is designed to help you work out whether a learner can write the vowel sounds "ar", "er", "aw", "ou", "oy", "air" and "ear" in one-syllable words.
All you need is a pen or pencil and a piece of paper.
When you're finished, there is a link to the answer key below. If your learner is making a lot of mistakes, it includes links to relevant wordlists they might like to practice, and there is also a workbook in this site' shop which targets these patterns.
