(I was wondering about jaguar – I’ve always pronounced it /ar/, rather than /er/, and I’ve never heard it otherwise. Which dialect pronounces it /er/?)

Hi Laura, You’re most welcome, though I don’t understand your question about “jaguar”, do I have it spelt with a typo somewhere? All the dialects I know of pronounce it with an unstressed final syllable (schwa) but when spelling it say “ar”, there’s never a stressed final “er”. All the best, Alison
